How much manual work does your process add up to?
Enter data for a repetitive task. Calculate its time and cost using your own estimate.
Enter your data to see the estimated hours and cost.
How the calculation works
- Monthly hours = monthly executions × working minutes per execution ÷ 60.
- Estimated monthly cost = monthly hours × hourly cost.
- Estimated annual cost = estimated monthly cost × 12.
The result estimates the value of the time spent. To assess potential savings and the budget for an automation project, we need to review the workflow and its implementation.
The annual projection assumes the same volume, time per task and hourly cost for 12 months.
The currency identifies the amounts. It does not convert them.
Results are displayed with up to two decimal places. The ≈ symbol indicates that the displayed hours have been rounded.
Values are calculated in your browser and are not sent or saved. The site may record that you completed a calculation, without its inputs or results.
How to use the estimate
Measure a typical task and use an hourly cost that reflects your operation. Calculate exceptions separately so you do not mix different workflows.
The result helps you understand current work. When choosing a process to automate, also review errors, delays, data quality and actions that require a human decision.
Common questions
Does the calculator quote an automation project?
It calculates the estimated time and cost of the task you describe. An automation budget depends on scope, tools and operating conditions.
How is the annual amount calculated?
The estimated monthly cost is multiplied by 12. This assumes the same number of tasks and hourly cost throughout the year.
